Our Story

It all started with an idea — the kind of idea that keeps you awake at night. Naturally, I dragged my two brothers and my mom into it. (Yes, Life Tallow really is a family project: three brothers and a mother. Sounds like the start of a sitcom, but instead of comedy, we ended up with skincare.)

My fascination with the human body began when I was 12 years old — teaching myself biomechanics, nutrition, and how everything works… including the skin. I also had my own share of skin problems growing up, and I was always hesitant to use the typical drugstore creams most people rely on. Something about them never felt right — too generic, too chemical, too much like mystery goop in a plastic jar.

We have spent every summer of our childhood on our mother’s parents’ dairy farm, which gave us a deep respect for how cattle should be raised and how much care truly matters. That experience left its mark — we know first-hand the difference that ethical farming makes.

Fast forward a few years: one of my brothers started using beef tallow on his skin, and it worked. That sparked my idea — why not create the best tallow cream on the market? Not the greasy, pore-blocking, bargain-bin versions. Not the fancy-label “luxury” creams that cost a fortune but are just average at best. I wanted something real.

So I tested over 100 cream recipes in a year — usually at 2 a.m., because apparently sleep wasn’t part of the business plan. By day it was work, weights, and boxing gloves; by night it was me, the tallow, and way too much caffeine.

My family supported me, but the sleepless nights? Those were mine alone. Every jar represents that grind — the balance between science, discipline, and a little stubborn passion.
